2007 Year of Diversity Campaign
How the 2007, UK Year of Diversity Campaign will work
The campaign’s aims are to:
- Raise the profile of diversity across the UK
- Bring together the great work that is going on around diversity
- Maximise opportunities for joint working, synergy and information sharing
- Facilitate the avoidance of duplication of initiatives
How will the campaign work?
Well it is very easy.
Participating organisations can register their desire to support the campaign by e-mailing the NCFD and we will send you the ‘Supporters of the 2007, UK Year of Diversity’ logo – subject to some checks.
You can use this to publicise and badge up the diversity related events and activities, that you will do as a normal part of your work anyway, under the 2007 campaign.
Questions you may have
Is there a charge?
There is no charge to participating organisations.
Is there funding available from the National Centre for Diversity for activities
which support the campaign?
No. You will have to look to your own budgets seek funding sources. We will not
provide advice on these sources unless specific bodies approach to ask us to make
you aware.
We have been doing a particular diversity activity for years. Can we
still include this or do we have to do something new?
This kind of activity is welcome and can be included. You do not have to do
something new just for the campaign. Many organisations promote diversity as a
matter of routine and can be included.
We want to get involved but will there be lots of paper work to do?
No. There are no forms to fill in simply send an e-mail to
admin@nationalcentrefordiversity.com with the following details:
- A contact name
- The name of your organisation
- A contact telephone number
- A very brief outline of what the event or activity is

NB Those that are working towards Investors in Diversity during 2007 or will have achieved the standard during 2007 will be included as a matter of course.
These examples are by no means exhaustive but do give you a flavour of how you can get involved.
What happens after we submit our details?
