Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Improving management and leadership opportunities for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) staff within the NHS and Social Care Sectors throughout the South West.
15th May 2007 at the Cheltenham Race Course
If the NHS is to maintain and develop its reputation as a world-class service, it must treat patients and staff with fairness, dignity and equality.
This means equity of access to treatment for all NHS patients. It means too that the NHS needs to demonstrate that it is an employer of choice, with a real focus on providing opportunities for staff from all backgrounds.
This conference is an important chance to discuss the issues, share examples of good practice and provide practical support for people from black and ethnic minorities to develop their careers in the NHS. Sir Ian Carruthers (CEO NHS South West)
