To find out the answers to these questions and many more, we are delighted to invite you to our fully interactive ‘mega quiz’ on disability!
Working in teams made up of organisations from all over the region, you’ll battle it out using game show buzzers, working through a number of different fun and interactive quiz rounds. No knowledge of disability is necessary – just lots of enthusiasm and a desire to improve your knowledge!
A disability confident organisation understands how disability affects every aspect of their business – people, markets, competitors, suppliers, communities and key stakeholders.
Employers’ Forum on Disability (EFD) in partnership with Yorkshire Forward is delighted to offer you the opportunity to understand more about disability and the positive benefits of becoming a disability confident organisation. You will be able to network with other organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber area, learn from disability experts in a relaxed environment and find out about the support available to you from EFD and Yorkshire Forward.
EFD is a national employer network, funded and managed by our members. Our 400-plus members are drawn from both the private and public sector and between them employ about twenty-five per cent of the UK workforce. We make it easier to employ disabled people, serve disabled customers and work with disabled stakeholders.
Yorkshire Forward is the Regional Development Agency responsible for improving the Yorkshire and Humber economy. Yorkshire Forward drives the success of the region by using the £2.50 they get each week on behalf of each of their taxpayers to provide them with more jobs, access to new markets for businesses and to regenerate towns and city centres.
