We have now created two new and exciting derivatives of the full Investors in Diversity (IiD) Standard which is now being treated as Level 2.
The first new derivative is 'Level 1 Investors in Diversity' accreditation - which is based on an online Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (ED&I) impact assessment. The second new derivative is the 'Leaders in Diversity' Award which stretches organisations beyond what they did in achieving the full Investors in Diversity Award at Level 2 (You have to have achieved the Level 2 Investors in Diversity before you can go for Leaders in Diversity).
NB: You can still go straight to the full 'Investors in Diversity' Award at Level 2. You don't have to start at Level 1.
The Investors in Diversity Award is seen by many as more than just a prestigious quality mark. It is a whole new all-encompassing approach to managing ED&I. It enables you to take a structured, planned approach to deal with this area of work. IiD provides you with a central place - a framework under which you can bring together your ED&I work.
IiD enables you to identify, articulate and communicate the business/organisational case for embracing (ED&I) in your organisation. It also enables you to align your work in ED&I with your organisation's goals. IiD also helps you to improve your organisation's management of key areas which are increasingly being recognised as being direct determinants of success and long term-sustainability. We help you measure practice (and progress), help you develop (and improve) policies, customs, practices, individual behaviours (and conduct), operating practices, company/organisational culture and help you address sub-cultures.
IiD helps you to create, develop and embed a culture of equality, diversity and inclusion. Yes, IiD looks at issues of compliance with legislation. Yes, IiD looks at contract compliance issues. Yes, we look at policies built we don't just stop there. These for us are just stopping off points on the journey to inclusion.
The costs for all 3 levels .
- Level 1 Investors in Diversity - NEW - Prices start from £550 plus VAT
- Level 2 Full Investors in Diversity - Prices start from £1,500 plus VAT
- Level 3 Leaders in Diversity - NEW - Prices start from £550 plus VAT
Costs
Because of changes to the way that we now deliver IiD, we are able to make significant reductions in cost. Level 1 IiD accreditation is entry level and is done in the form of an on-line assessment and the basic cost of doing this would not include support from a dedicated IiD trained Advisor or IiD Assessor.
We have been able to reduce costs for Level 2 from a previous starting price of £3,400 plus VAT down to £1,500 plus VAT because some of the assessment is now done on-line and not purely by an IiD Assessor.
Level 3 is carried on the same basis as Level 1 but you must have achieved Level 2 to proceed to Level 3.
Private, public and voluntary sectors doing IiD together.
Amongst the private sector organisations that are either working towards or who have achieved IiD are Coca-Cola, First UK Bus, ITV. From the public sector there schools, colleges, organisations from the Police and Prison Services, Housing Associations. From the voluntary sector we have the likes of Scope, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, NCVO, Groundwork UK etc.
IiD is not just for house-names it is also for the smaller and lesser known ones. The smallest organisation to have the IiD standard at Level 2 has just 5 members of staff and the largest has 110,000 staff.
