Level 2
The Investors in Diversity Level 2 award is for those organisations which are proactively looking to promote positive change by embedding equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of their organisational culture.
The Investors in Diversity Level 2 process often lasts between 8 and eighteen months and as part of this package of support your organisation will have its own IiD Advisor, a National Centre for Diversity Relationship Manager and a dedicated independent assessor is assigned to your organisation. Following initial feedback from your stakeholders, they will work with you to develop and implement an action plan for your organisation before a formal assessment takes place.
The level 2 award has already helped over 180 organisations to reap business benefits which have ranged from increasing staff retention to enhancing their approach to talent management.
The assessment process promotes continuous learning by self assessment and self analysis through a series of activities which create and promote communication, dialogue, discussion, discourse and debate within organisations. It also helps to identify and develop behaviours that your organisation needs in order for it to be successful.
Five key areas, or strands, will be assessed as part of the assessment, these are:
