Keith Wimbles joined the Voluntary Action Fund in 2008 as Chief Executive. His role involves leading the strategic management, corporate functions and business development of the organisation. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining and developing external relationships and is a member of a number of forums including the Scotland Funders’ Forum, Scottish Grantmakers and Scottish Volunteering Forum.
Keith has worked in the voluntary sector for over twenty years with Glasgow Council for the Voluntary Sector and Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations where he developed and managed a range of grant programmes and development initiatives for the third sector. Keith also has wide experience of European funding, transnational programmes and regeneration work. Prior to working in the voluntary sector, Keith worked in the private sector managing employability programmes across the UK.
