Biography
Sharon Smith is an Equality and Diversity Policy Manager at the Learning and Skills Council. She has over 12 years experience in the Equality and Diversity field including work with local providers, developing toolkits and benchmarking tools for the sector and has worked more recently in HR at LSC National Office.
Sharon is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) and also has an MA in Disability Studies. She has worked in the area of training and development, designing programmes and gaining accreditation for an Equality and Diversity trainers programme through the Open College.
Working now, at a national level Sharon has a portfolio of internal and external objectives including project managing initiatives to support the sector to implement and embed the Equality duties effectively.
