Support Services

Equality and Diversity Consultancy and Support

The National Centre for Diversity provides a full range of consultancy services in equality, diversity and inclusion.

As a leading member of the Association of Equality Standard Providers we have supported hundreds clients from across a wide range of sectors. Our support packages draw on this experience, using the skills and knowledge of our expert advisors to deliver quality support services you can trust.

Our passion combined with many years’ experience as a leader in the field means we can offer unrivalled advice and guidance to help your organisation grow and prosper.

The kinds of support we are able to offer are:

Interim Equality and Diversity Work or Management...click here

We place our specialists in organisations that need cover for extended periods of absence due to things like long term illness, career breaks, vacancies, sabbaticals, maternity or paternity leave.
We have a diverse range of professionals who have operated in organisations a range of different sectors and levels including at top management.
We can place people in your organisations anywhere from one day a week to full time for given periods.

Dealing with Equality Related HR Incidents or Issues...click here

Many organisations whilst competent in dealing with equality related human resource issues, can see the benefit of engaging with us because of the specialist understanding  and experience that we have in dealing with issues that can often spiral out of control.

There is a real benefit of engaging us an independent honest broker in situations where there has been a breakdown in relations between different people in the organisation.

It may be that your organisation wants an outside body to conduct an independent investigation. You may want us to carry out an independent mediation process.
Whilst these types of interventions described don’t carry a guarantee that you will not end up in a tribunal over a given situation, it does speak volumes to the employment tribunal panel of the lengths that you have gone to try to find a solution prior to you getting there.
We do feel confident that in most cases we can keep our clients out of employment tribunals.

Support with Winning Bids and Endorsement of Funding Bids...click here

We have a successful track record of supporting organisations to bid for funding ranging from small amounts right up to £400M which we helped an organisation win earlier this year. We would be happy to critique, evaluate or write the equality section of bids and providing we are happy we would also endorse the bid.

Disability Audits...click here

Disability is arguably the most complex area of the diversity agenda, as it is a term which refers to such a wide range of different needs.  From improving accessibility of buildings and materials to supporting an employee when their circumstances and needs change:  one of our specialist advisors can support you to ensure you are compliant with the law and doing all you can to make reasonable adjustments.

Equality and Diversity Health Checks...click here

We have developed a number of tools to help organisations such as housing associations, schools and colleges prepare for inspections.  We are able to offer a 360 degree stakeholder consultation, through either an online diagnostic survey or a gap analysis conducted by one of our advisors, which equips you with accurate and up-to-date diversity information prior to an inspection.
